Our great adventure began a few years ago when we decided to make the leap from the new to the old continent and settled in the region of North Rhine-Westphalia. Alejandro, a great lover of stories and legends, was fascinated by the anecdotes of the city of Dusseldorf and met Ricardo, who had been a professional guide for many years and had a lot of experience in leading tours in one of the wonders of the modern world: Chichén Itzá, in Mexico. Passionate about the curiosities and spirit of this city, we realised how little Dusseldorf was known and how nice it would be to walk around offering free or private tours of Dusseldorf. Therefore, thanks to Ricardo’s experience and good spirit, we created a route that combines history, culture, anecdotes and legends of this city.

Walking Tour Dusseldorf offers free tours and private tours through the old town of Dusseldorf. Our tours are historical, but we also cover the cultural and social side of the city. This allows us to tell the local and personal anecdotes that we have collected over the years in the beautiful city of Dusseldorf. For this reason, we can say that our tour offers you an authentic and unique experience of the life and history of this ancient city on the Rhine: Dusseldorf.

Our team loves Dusseldorf in its own way and this is reflected in our tours in Dusseldorf. From pre-Roman times to the post-war period, each tour covers the development of the city and the stories of its prominent personalities. In addition to historical facts, you’ll hear personal and local anecdotes, urban legends, tourist tips, scavenger hunts and recited poetry. All of this is complemented by images that make the tour both educational and entertaining, guaranteeing an authentic and unique experience on our walking tours.

Why does a duck with a red umbrella represent our tour? The red umbrella duck is the perfect symbol for our Walking Tours in Dusseldorf, as it reflects the essence of the city and the experience we offer. Ducks are known for their calm nature and freedom of movement, but also for their ability to surprise with their agility and endurance. It is a very attractive symbol that inspires us, but also amuses us.

This is how we have planned our routes in Dusseldorf: relaxed and pleasant, but always ready to show you something unexpected and fascinating. Just as a duck explores new horizons, we will take you to the most charming and lesser-known corners of Dusseldorf. The red and white of the umbrella is no coincidence. These are the colours of the Dusseldorf flag and coat of arms, the colours of the Dusseldorf team and the spirit we convey on our Walking Tour.
